⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My experience at Allegory Kitchen & Bar in Grand Prairie was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, we loved the ambiance. It’s a small, cozy, and intimate spot that makes you feel right at home. What really set this place apart was the exceptional hospitality. The owner personally came out and introduced himself, which made the experience even more special. You can tell they truly care about their guests. We also had the pleasure of meeting Charles, one of the cooks, and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. And Candice, the bartender and waitress, absolutely holds the place down! Her customer service, attention to detail, and positive energy made our visit even better. The food, atmosphere, and customer service were all top-notch. I will definitely be back! If you’re reading this review, stop reading and go check out Allegory Kitchen & Bar. Trust me—it’s worth it!

Food was cool, service was awesome sauce, atmosphere was 10 outta 10! Boogie the manager was amazing! Attentive without being too much, answered all questions with patience and gave good recommendations. She helped make my friend's birthday memorable in the best way😁

Great food. I had catfish, fries and tried the red beans and rice. Everything was great. I dove in so fast I didn’t get a picture. Everyone was so friendly. They sang happy birthday and I even got a couple of birthday treats. Jen the bartender was great and the other customers were very friendly!!

I have to say this is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at. I had the lobster mac & cheese, and it was delicious and I got some fries and corn cornbread. Everything was so good. The atmosphere is awesome. The music is awesome. They had a live saxophone player.

Ok!! Where do I start? The food was AMAZING!! First, we had the shrimp and grits (me) and the red beans and sausage (hubby)... then hubby tasted my last bites and said he had to order a shrimp and grits to go bc it was soooo good... then we looked at the dessert menu since we were waiting for the to go meal and decided to try the sweet potato apple hash dessert... do not let the unknowing of it deter you... it was soooooo delicious... we had no idea what to expect but omg it was AMAZING!!!! We left NOTHING on our plates lol we are definitely coming back!!

Had such a great time last night catching up with my friend! It was much needed! Of course we chose a New Black Owned spot & I'm so glad that we did! From the ambiance, hospitality, food, drinks and welcoming environment we were so pleased with everything! It exceeded all expectations. We were there for 3 hours! (There was A LOT to discuss😩🫣) We decided to grab a couple of drinks. My friend loves her an Old Fashion & I had a Pineapple Bourbon drink which was 🔥🔥🥃🍍 & let me tell y'all about those Vegan Collard Green Spring Rolls! O M G with the sticky sweet & sour sauce to go with it. It had the right amount of Sweet & Heat. The Collard Greens Spring rolls were seasoned & fried to perfection! & My friend ate those Lemon pepper Hot honey wings up! She said they were sooo good. 😋 Meeting The Owner Ronnie Harris & our waitress Destiny was such a pleasure! They were so kind and made us feel like we were right at home! Allegory has events everyday out of the week that everyone can enjoy! My friend and I look forward to coming back very soon! Their prices were unreal! My husband an I went to Allegory for the first time this past Thursday. When we arrived, there was a DJ that had R&B music playing and the restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. I want to start out with the food. We ordered catfish, sweet skillet cornbread, lemon pepper chicken wings, and beans and rice. The food was great! The catfish was simply amazing! Large filet that was cooked to perfection. Chicken wings were also cooked perfectly but could have used a little more seasoning. Since we were the only customers, the music was a bit loud and we had a hard time having a conversation but once the food arrived we didn't talk much. The cocktails were a little weak and I feel it was under poured. Overall this establishment has potential for growth and deserves 5 stars. We will continue to come here and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Allegory with a bunch of friends and family, and we had a great time. I’ve been going there on and off for about six months, usually stopping in randomly throughout the week, and the atmosphere is always a vibe. I really like that they have different events throughout the week. Tuesday nights are fun with the 2-step dance classes, which makes the night interactive and a great way to meet people. Thursday nights, they have karaoke, which is always entertaining because the crowd really gets into it, but it’s also pretty chill because you can sit and sing at your table or get up and walk the room. Fridays are my absolute favorite because they have a live saxophonist, and I love live music! The saxophonist George Crump is amazing! The food is good too. My favorite thing to order is the fried catfish. Overall it’s a great place to hang out, enjoy music, and catch different types of entertainment during the week.

Updating my review because credit is due. The Philly Cheesesteak & fries are elite. Hands down the BEST Philly in the DFW! It is pure happiness on a roll. Juicy, cheesy, & savory. The 1st bite had me salivating. Instead of using the ketchup I used my delicious fries to soak up every drop of juice. If i had any suggestions it'd be top make those delicious french fries crispy. Other than that its absolute perfection! I really do hope they had a Chicken Philly on the menu. The ambiance here is truly world-class. It’s the kind of place that transports you and makes you completely forget you’re in DFW. I absolutely loved the environment. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. While the chicken was tender in some spots, it was surprisingly tough in others, and parts were cooked to the point where the bones were soft and brittle. To top it off, the mashed potatoes arrived lukewarm.

Food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Presentation & taste was amazing! The decor is so pretty. There was a swing out class going but the vibes were very chill. Would definitely dine here again!
